I remember mentioning to my midwife when I was pregnant how people feel free to comment on things you are doing or really personal stuff when - and she said "wait till you have a child".I'm learning now that the 'advice' comes thick and fast - some of it is genuine advice and much appreciated - but some of it definitely feels like judgement. Every day lately someone looks at Manaia and tells me he is teething - as if it is obvious to them and should also be to his mother (I'm pretty sure he is not yet, for the record). Where are all these teething experts when he needs his nappy changed, hmmm?
